The conservative restoration of the Grand Hotel Royal is still in progress, with the reconstruction of the internal floors and the new fittings. This project was born as an arduous attempt to give back the great fronts of the building the work of art value with which, at the beginning of last century, Architect Belluomini had undertaken the enlargement, adding a new front to the building already existing in the late nineteenth-century.
The works implied the roofing reconstruction, together with the fifth and sixth floor, and the projects of re-qualification of the fronts looking onto Buonarroti road, unfinished. The project of reconstruction of the park pavilion was also part of the whole design.
